Our mission is to provide safe spaces and a variety of services to all survivors of domestic and gender-based violence and to advocate for the vulnerable populations we serve. We aim to enhance our social fabric by addressing gaps in services built upon Islamic tradition and values and on our shared common practices.

Noora House is a safe, confidential shelter for women and children fleeing domestic violence. We provide our clients with halal food, case management,
and trauma-informed care.
We provide microgrants to survivors of domestic and gender-based violence to help them through financial challenges such as food insecurity, rental arrears, first month’s rent, security deposit, broker’s fees, clothing for themselves and their children, school supplies, and much more.
Pillars of Peace’s Hope and Healing Program stands as a beacon of support for victims and survivors of domestic and gender-based violence, offering culturally and linguistically conscious therapeutic services.
Pillars of Peace’s Resilience and Stability Program is a cornerstone of our commitment to survivors of domestic and gender-based violence, offering culturally and linguistically conscious case management services.
The Pillars Advocate Program gives students an opportunity to raise awareness about intimate partner violence prevention and share resources that help students access support. Advocates help create campuses where survivors feel safer, believed, and supported.
In 2025, we welcomed a mother and her children for the first time at Noora House. We also welcomed our first pregnant survivor and our first survivor with a service animal. We focused on doing shelter differently: not rushing people through a system, but offering a steady, trauma-informed space where survivors can rest, be believed, and are empowered to make choices on their own timeline. Because each resident can stay up to 90 days, we are able to provide individualized support that goes beyond a bed, including safety planning, emotional support, and practical steps toward stability.
Every dollar you donate will go a long way to help save lives of families and children subjected to abuse. Whether it’s helping pay rent, buying food, getting access to healthcare services, or providing the resources needed to ensure safety.
